Maine, regarded as the lobster capital of the world. For me, its not only lobsters but scenery as well. From the mountains to the coastlines and lakes. Its really beautiful. We went camping for a week at Green Valley Campground, Vassalboro Maine. In the site is also a lake where we went fishing and had a good laugh. It is in the middle of the mountain and I am loving it. It's like being home (in the Philippines) again.
On our way (Me, Mom, Garry and Brain), we drove for 6 hrs and stayed for the night at one of the rest area and early morning we had our breakfast and hit the road again for another 6 hrs (or so) until we arrived at the campground. We set-up the RV and prepared dinner and went to bed early. The following days was all fun.
Bar Harbor
We went to a town called Bar Harbor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_Harbor,_Maine) which is about 3 hrs drive from the campground.
Its one of Maine's tourist area. The streets are busy and everybody seems to be having a good time. We bought some souviners and walk around the coastline but Mom can't walk/stand for a long time. I still want to wander around and explore some places but decided its not the right time and promised myself to be back someday. On our way home we are hungry and decided to eat out again where I ordered a small breaded clam (which I ended up having 3 meals because its so big and makes me wonder how big large portion was). That afternoon we went fishing again before we decided to call it a night, relax and finally went to bed.
Happy Birthday To Me
Then comes my birthday (hepeyyyy!!!). We are expecting visitors (Brian's daugther Tanya, her husband and kids). They arrived and the kids are so excited and they keep on telling me that they made a cake for me.
Just few miles from the campground is a border line for Canada. We cross the Champlain Lake which is also a big lake. So, we stop at the RV park for 2 nights and while there we played a mini golf and at night we went to Bingo (yes BINGO!!!) and most people are talking French. I've learn a few that night but forgot the next day (LOL) except "QUE". Everytime Brian ask me something I always answer "QUE" which means "yes" until Brian ended up telling me that he will put a duck tape in my mouth if I wont stop hehehehe... the morning before we leave Plattsburgh we had breakfast with Mom's cousin, afterwards we hit the road again and this time heading home and already talking about the next trip which is Texas.
I am excited for the next trip but a little sad because we have to leave Max at the Kennel again for 2 weeks straight. As for this trip (to Maine), we were gone for 8 days and I missed Max already. Glad we are home now and Max was happy to see us and finally to be home and at his own bed.
Maine, I will be back....
