Winter Begins

Feeling depressed yesterday.

Did nothing.

No motivation.

Night came. Went for a drive.

Wasted gas. Just seen the lights.

Felt more lonesome. Wishing we can be somewhere else.

Mind drifting.

Green trees and mountains.

Warm blue clear sky.

It's the season that I hate. The cold and the feeling of inclosure.

How long will this last? One week? I wish...

Oh well, life is not always what we wanted. So get up and keep moving.

This white thingy that stays on the ground for days will stay for a while. :(

Today, another same day.

Not really... it's the start of the WINTER!!!!

Back early from Philippines...

We got back two days ago... its been wonderful seeing my friends "not all :(" and family. Garry got sick and we decided to go home. It's still a wonderful vacation. The important part is seeing my parents/family and spending few days with them. Though I still have a lot of things that I wanted to do but its ok. I always believe that things happen for a reason. I made sure that Garry was able to do one of his "to do list" and that is to see a cock fighting.
He was not able to plant rice or use the tractor but he was able to see the rice field LOL! I want to say thanks to my friends for helping us and for being there all time and for my family for the support and love. Love you all. Just wish we can spend more time. But hey there is always a next time.

Our Journey Home from Home

Hmmm!! this seems to be a weird title. But that's what this post is.

Anyway, Its been a great week. Finally were able to fly (in a plane of course ;0). Left Sunday afternoon from Buffalo to JKF (New York City), from JFK to Anchorage Alaska, to Taipei, to Manila and finally CEBU. Our flight from JFK with China Airlines was delayed for 1 hour. We were hoping they can make up for the delayed but unfortunately they did not and we arrived in Manila 1 hour late. We went to claim our baggage but it took us at least 30 minutes before we were out and about to change Plane to Cebu. By the time we were in the taxi did I realized that the terminal 3 for Cebu Pacific Airline was far and we paid the taxi about 200 pesos just to find out that we missed our flight. The teller told us We're just 5 minutes late and advised us to have our ticket reschedule and referred us to another teller. To make the it short the lady was very polite and it helped me a lot not to be rude (been in the plane for about 24 hrs and I am tired). We have to pay about 5000,00 pesos and this makes me sad. This is one disadvantages here in our own country. Don't get me wrong. I will always love it here but sometimes business people get all too carried away. They will take money out of you as long as they can. I understand about having to pay for rescheduling the flight but was just hoping for a little less. Anyway, Garry was shocked and started asking the poor girl a lot of questions. He was tired and frustrated so I asked him to back off stay at the back and save his frustrations for China Airlines people. After taking care of the ticket and ready to board the place we called my friends that are going to pick us up (Thanks to Val, Cristy and Lorraine) and told them that we will be an hour late.

All the flights was not that good except Jet Blue Air for Buffalo to JFK. China Airlines sucks big time. They were late and the food was bad. Oh well, the important thing is we arrived safe.

December 2, 2009: We are scheduled to leave Cebu and go home (province where my parents and family is) but can't go because Garry was sick. The next day (December 3) same thing happen and finally he let me takes him to a doctor. Doctor said his body was just trying to adjust to the new environment. Advised us to stay 2 more days before boarding a ship. Garry stayed in bed (at hotel) for 2 days. My mother told us to just go back without seeing them because she is scared about Garry's health LOL!!! We don't want anybody to worry so Garry and I decided not to tell his Mom and the family.

December 6: Finally!! We are off to the province. Garry is doing great now. So excited and wanted to just rest and inhale a fresh air. Its about 3 hours trip in a small ship. In there, no Internet and far away from the city. All you can hear is birds and some chicken hehehe.... I will try be online at least once a week. I said "I will try" :)

My Thoughts

Sometimes we got too carried away with what or how we feel. Sometimes when somebody hurts you (physically or emotionally) you tend to tell yourself that you will get even one of these days, it's more like "an eye for an eye". But in feeling that way we also fail to realize that we are hurting ourself.

We meet different people in our daily life, and there is always a reason why. You may not know what/why right away but things happen for a reason. These people come and go but the lessons and impact they left will always be there.

Sometimes, its hard to let go and it will keep you from moving on. You will always look back and once again it will refresh the memories (the hurt and all some unanswered questions). But think if you let go and make amend? and when I say "amend" I mean a real/sincere one... what will happen? Do you think you still feel bad, sad, mad, or hurt? I don't think so.. maybe you will be glad that it is over and glad that you made things right before its too late.

Life is too short. You never know when is your time to go. Me? I don't know.. may be after I'm done writing this? maybe tomorrow? next day? who knows? I witnessed something (or may I say an event).. That event makes me sad and think that things could have been different if pride, stubbornness or being bullheaded was was set aside. That same event makes me think about things in my life. Everyone of us has pride or else we are no better than a robot. It's one of the characteristic that makes us a human being. The only difference is how we let pride dominate our life. Sometimes we are unaware that pride is telling us what to do. It is hard to swallow our pride. And it is always hard to forgive and forget. You might say that you have forgiven somebody, but ask yourself "did you really?". Nobody is perfect or else we would be living in a very boring world. I AM NOT PERFECT... that is one of my all time motto's. I might have done something wrong or bad that I did not even know about. I might have hurt people without knowing I did. I don't know...... I am only human and I tend to make mistakes.

Think about it. It is not yet too late. Don't wait and stop telling yourself that there is still tomorrow. Today might be your only chance and tomorrow might be too late.

So to all my friends and everyone whom I've known, sorry if ever I said or did something to hurt you. Sorry for whatever I did. And let us live life to its fullest and be happy for what we have. Thank you all for being part of who I am now and for who I will be.

Love and Peace

Why do people cheat?

Talked with my distant cousin online and I found out he is having an affair. Yes! you heard me right. He is married with small kids and while working abroad he have a girlfriend. I saw it with my own eyes (in a webcam). We did not talked for long. I cut it short and don't want to talk to him.

I hate to think that people just forget about love, respect and loyalty. When you got married you are supposed to be together forever. You exchanged vows you promised to be together for better or worst in sickness and health. You promised to honor, respect and be loyal with each other. But why do people still cheat? I am mad, furious and disappointed. I don't know what I will do if this will happen to me (being cheated). Don't tell me that things happen because he is away from his wife. Or what people say "its a man thing". I hate it and I will always hate that idea.

I am sorry about this post. Just want to let it out my chest and this is the perfect place for me and of course I told my husband but its not enough. I don't know if I will tell somebody so his wife will be aware of? Or should I just keep quite and hope that maybe this is just a fling? But fling or not he is still a cheater. Why did he let me see it in the first place? Why would he put me in this situation? Should I just shrug it off and say its none of my business? We are not that close anyway. He popped up out of nowhere and told me he is "XXXX younger brother" which happens to be my friend. All I can remember of him is a young boy running around their house. I am having a headache. GRRRRRR!!!! :(:(:(

Camping at Maine

Welcome to Maine

Maine, regarded as the lobster capital of the world. For me, its not only lobsters but scenery as well. From the mountains to the coastlines and lakes. Its really beautiful. We went camping for a week at Green Valley Campground, Vassalboro Maine. In the site is also a lake where we went fishing and had a good laugh. It is in the middle of the mountain and I am loving it. It's like being home (in the Philippines) again.

On our way (Me, Mom, Garry and Brain), we drove for 6 hrs and stayed for the night at one of the rest area and early morning we had our breakfast and hit the road again for another 6 hrs (or so) until we arrived at the campground. We set-up the RV and prepared dinner and went to bed early. The following days was all fun.

Bar Harbor

We went to a town called Bar Harbor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_Harbor,_Maine) which is about 3 hrs drive from the campground.

Its one of Maine's tourist area. The streets are busy and everybody seems to be having a good time. We bought some souviners and walk around the coastline but Mom can't walk/stand for a long time. I still want to wander around and explore some places but decided its not the right time and promised myself to be back someday. On our way home we are hungry and decided to eat out again where I ordered a small breaded clam (which I ended up having 3 meals because its so big and makes me wonder how big large portion was). That afternoon we went fishing again before we decided to call it a night, relax and finally went to bed.

Happy Birthday To Me

Then comes my birthday (hepeyyyy!!!). We are expecting visitors (Brian's daugther Tanya, her husband and kids). They arrived and the kids are so excited and they keep on telling me that they made a cake for me.

We have some chicken on the grill, corn cob some salad and finally the cake. It was really fun seeing the kids being more excited about the cake than me and I am very happy even if I am away from home I still have people that I can call a family and makes me fell at home. The night ends with us at the Lake watching the sunset. Then finaly, its time to go home. But on the way home we have to stop over at Plattsburg to see Mom's cousin. We drove for 8 hrs and stop at Plattsburgh RV Park where most of the camper are older people and speaks French.

Just few miles from the campground is a border line for Canada. We cross the Champlain Lake which is also a big lake. So, we stop at the RV park for 2 nights and while there we played a mini golf and at night we went to Bingo (yes BINGO!!!) and most people are talking French. I've learn a few that night but forgot the next day (LOL) except "QUE". Everytime Brian ask me something I always answer "QUE" which means "yes" until Brian ended up telling me that he will put a duck tape in my mouth if I wont stop hehehehe... the morning before we leave Plattsburgh we had breakfast with Mom's cousin, afterwards we hit the road again and this time heading home and already talking about the next trip which is Texas.

I am excited for the next trip but a little sad because we have to leave Max at the Kennel again for 2 weeks straight. As for this trip (to Maine), we were gone for 8 days and I missed Max already. Glad we are home now and Max was happy to see us and finally to be home and at his own bed.

Maine, I will be back....

Ebay PowerSeller!!! Yahooo!!!!

It's just been months since I (we) started selling in ebay. We are doing really good. We found our niche and sticking with it though we sell almost vintage stuff from Estate Sales or local auctions.

So anyways, this morning before going to work (helping an Aunt having an Estate Sales) I got an email from Ebay talking about PowerSeller but was not about to read it because I am late already. When I arrived home (about 2 hours before writing this blog) I checked back the email. It is an invitation to join the PowerSeller Program. Being a powerseller it gives you more benefits but you have to maintain how much you sold which in our case we don't know if we can but I am just happy to be able to get this PowerSeller thing even for just now hehehe.

I am just so excited that I want to share it here. Now I would like to post or list more items. But not until I can decide what to do with my auctiva account. Oh, I already do have a decision and I will be staying (since they change the pricing plan) but still undecided which plan to take. Oh well, that will be this weekend. As of now I am tired and want to sleep. Still have to work tomorrow. Good night everyone.

So Disappointed

Or should say mad? lost? I don't know what you call it. I know its been a while since my last post and maybe you might think "what I am doing going here and rants about what I feel?". But don't know where else. So please bare with me.

Does anybody uses Auctiva dot com (I won't put a link) for ebay listings? If you do then you know what I am talking about. They sent me an email 2 nights ago RE: Auctiva Announces Pricing Changes‏ and guess what it says. They are now charging every body who is going to use their service. It says that they have a pricing plan that will be fair to everyone.

I don't mind paying a reasonable amount because I love using them for the image and scheduling my listing but charging you $24.95 with 1MB free image hosting plus a 1.75% transaction fee of the the items being sold. If you exceed the 1MB image you will be billed more. This is BS. Everybody that is using this service are willing to pay a monthly flat rate. And why would you ask for a 1.75% transaction fee (Final Value Fee) where you are doing nothing but just host the image?

If you look clearly, ebay charge you for final value fee, paypal charge you a transaction fee, and now they are going to charge us additional transaction fee (ebay + paypal + auctiva =?). Now I will stop listing items until I can figure out what to do. I am considering Inkfrog or the turbo lister.

This is greed and greed makes you fall hard. Nothing comes out good with greed.

Sorry for ranting and I hope to keep this blog alive again.

When and what occasion to hire a lawyer?

I don't really like the to idea of hiring a lawyer for a reason that you must have money in order to do so. It's expensive to hire one. But if the case requires you to have a knowledge on a specific law and I feel that its very complicated, I would definitely get one. For my visa, we didn't hire a lawyer because there are instructions on what you need and what needs to be done. But if it's a criminal case or any other case that I don't have any idea how it works I will hire one.

Criminal case for me is very complicated and one mistake and you are done. You might go to prison and that's the worst thing that can happen. And also for divorce. I've read somewhere that it's best to hire a lawyer because there are things that you don't know that a divorce lawyer knows which can also saves you a headache but what they said is you offer to do some task like photocopying the papers or some work so you will only be paying the lawyer for the technical aspect.
There are law firms out there who offers free for initial consultation like for example the Wheeler, Montgomery, Sleight & Boyd PLLC. They offer a free initial consultation. For more information you can visit them here: Vancouver Law.

Bride Wars Movie

Photos courtesy of 20th Century Fox
Just finished watching this movie online and I just love it. With Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway? What can you expect? This is about two bestfriend who dreams to be a June bride and a Plaza wedding since they where kids. But Thier wedding planner made a mistake and scheduled the weddings at the same day. This is where the story goes so funny and sad. No one is willing to moved thier weddding date and two bestfriend became enemy and will do anything to ruin one's wedding. But in the end love and true friendship wins. It only proves that no matter what true friends will always stay in your heart and in you life.

Click here if you want to watch it. Just give it a try because sometimes they close the link.

Sinulog 2009 - Grandest and most Colorful Festival in Cebu

Sinulog is the most anticipated event in Cebu Philippines. It is the grandest and most colorful Festival in Cebu and I am sorry to miss it. It is a month of fun and excitement as every night different bands from all over the country visit Cebu and play their best. It is a 9 days celebration in honor of Sto. NiƱo and it always ended on the third Sunday of January. There is always a religious parade (or prosisyon) on Saturday and followed by the a grand parade on Sunday. The Sinulog Grand Parade is a must event to see where contingents from various cities and provinces come to compete with a very colorful costume and dancing to the rhythm of drums and some music instruments.

Everybody was always excited for Sinulog. I am one of them, but this year was not able to attend. All I can do is read and watch some clips in YouTube. It was always fun to see people so excited and happy even if you have to walk all the way because all the jeepney is full or the street is "NO ENTRY". If you still did not experience Sinulog, I suggest you do it next year.

When is enough, is enough?

Been talking with my friend. She have a boyfriend that thinks he can get any girl he wants. They've been together for a year but this guy still seeing some other girl. I told my friend to let go and move on. All I can hear is yes I will. Then the next time we talk the same old story. It seems that she can't make up her mind and I sometimes had enough. I already said all the things that I know can make her realize that she is way more better of without that guy. I know sometimes I hurt her but I want her to hear the truth. The next thing I know she is with the same guy and spent the Christmas and New Year. Before New year, the guy made her went to their friends house a couple of hours away from the hotel that he is staying and meet some of his "girl friends". And my friend knows about this. And she is still talking with him. I just don't understand. Sorry about his rambling. I want to let it out in my mind.

Its Been Awhile

Wow! Its been awhile since my last post! Been busy lately and by the time I am in front of my blog I got soooo lazy. A lot has been going on lately. I started an online store, we went to look for a small space for our items to sale, maybe a small space that will ask for a small monthly rent. But everything is so expensive. We found one store that will let us rent one case to display our items. The rent is $50.00 a month plus 10% of what you sold. We're thinking that $50.00 is a good price but with the 10%? I don't know about that. We are still going to talk about this and think hard before doing it. Just hope we can find a good deal. As of now I am just going to upload more items in our online store.
